The Bible makes it clear that there will be separation on the last day. Matthew 25:33 says, “And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.” In the parable of the tares (Matthew 13:24-30), Jesus says that in the harvest, the tares will be separated from the good seed to be burned, while the good seed will be gathered into the barn.
The nature of the separation that the Bible is talking about is not temporary, but eternal. On the last day, unrepentant sinners will be separated from the saints and cast into hell, but the saints will be received into the kingdom of God. The story of the rich man in hell and Lazarus sitting in the bosom of Abraham shows how sinners and saints will be separated at last.
The original plan of God for the redemption of man was for everyone to be saved, but some people who think they are wiser than God have technically removed themselves from the plan by refusing to repent. 2 Peter 3:9 says, “God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to the knowledge of repentance.” If anyone should go to hell in the end, it is because the person rejected the offer of salvation from God. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
The Bible has made it clear that living in sin is inimical to our salvation. God did not send His Son to come and die on the cross for us to continue to live in sin. Romans 6:1-2 says, “What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?”
Sin is an abomination to God. Sin separates man from God. Anyone who refuses to repent before Judgement Day will be eternally separated from God. If you are living in sin, repent now and give your life to Jesus Christ before it is too late.
