The Almighty God is a great Provider. His name is Jehovah Jireh, meaning God my Provider. If you trust the Lord and make Him your provider, He will be your Provider indeed. God knows all your needs. Therefore, you don’t need to worry about anything. Matthew 6:32 says your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things.
God is able to provide everything that you will ever need in this life. He wants you to trust Him instead of worrying. He gave the children of Israel water to drink out of the rock. And when their complaining and murmuring became too much, He fed them directly with manna from heaven (see Deuteronomy 8:16).
It is God who provides daily for the birds of the air and the animals in the bush. Matthew 6:26 says, “Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than them?” As a child of God, whenever you need anything, make your request known to God. Philippians 4:6 says, “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”
Do not put your trust in man to help you because you might be disappointed in the end. One of the ways God provides for His children is by blessing the work of their hands. If you want God to provide for you, work with your hands. Do not be idle or lazy. Proverbs 6:10-11 says, “Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: so shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.” In the same vein, 2 Thessalonians 3:10 says, “the one who does not work should not eat.”
God is such a loving and caring Father who always provides for His children. Psalm 37:25 says the righteous shall not be forsaken nor will his descendants beg for bread. If you are not yet a child of God, give your life to Jesus Christ today and enjoy the fullness of God’s provision.
