There are vital lessons to learn from the story of the ten virgins in Matthew 25:1-13. The Bible says five of them were foolish. They knew the bridegroom was coming but didn’t prepare to meet Him. They brought lamps but no extra oil, so when the bridegroom delayed, their lamps ran out. As they scrambled to find more oil, the bridegroom arrived and took the prepared virgins to the banquet, shutting the door behind them.

The Bible reveals Jesus Christ will return (Acts 1:10-11). His second coming has two phases: the rapture, when He’ll take saints to heaven (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18), and the millennial reign, when He’ll rule on earth with them for a thousand years (Revelation 20:4-6).

The Lord’s coming will catch many off guard. We don’t know when He’ll come – only that it’ll be sudden, “like a thief in the night” (1 Thessalonians 5:2).

So, dear reader, are you ready? Don’t be like the foolish virgins who missed out. Be prepared! Jesus is coming for believers who are ready. If you’re living in sin, repent and give your life to Him before it’s too late.
