By Evang. Joachim P. Erameh

In John chapter fourteen, Jesus Christ spoke about His Father’s House. He says, “In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you” (John 14:2).

It is obvious Jesus was talking of heaven in John 14:2. Truly, there are many mansions in heaven. This reminds me of a dream I had years back. In that dream, I found myself in a magnificent city with many mansions. The mansions were made of gold and very beautiful. Those mansions I saw can’t be found anywhere in the world.

The mansions in heaven are for those who’ll make heaven at last. Jesus says, “And if I go prepare a place for you, I will come again, receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also” (John 14:3). He was referring to believers when He says, “I will come again, receive you unto myself.”

We’re admonished in scripture to set our affections on things above because they have eternal value. Colossians 3:2 says, “Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.”

It’s unfortunate so many people today want mansions on earth, not in heaven Dear reader, did you know that unrepentant sinners won’t go to heaven, talk less of having a mansion? If you’re living in sin, repent now and surrender to Jesus before it’s too late.
