By Evang. Joachim P. Erameh
The Bible makes it clear that not everyone will go to heaven. Not even all those who claim to be Christians will enter the kingdom of heaven on the last day. Jesus says, “Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 7:21)
The truth is that many people will miss heaven on the last day. Didn’t the Bible say many are called, but few are chosen? (Matthew 22:14) It is not the will of God that any perish. (2 Peter 3:9) Anyway, there shall be a lot of surprises on the last day. Some people you think are Christians and will likely go to heaven may end up in the lake of fire.
The Bible has made it explicitly clear that those who are unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-10) Also, a hypocrite will not enter the kingdom of heaven. Jesus will say to them on the last day: “I know you not, depart from me, ye workers of iniquity” (Luke 13:27).
I pray for everyone reading this article, you will not miss heaven, in Jesus’ name. The worst thing that can happen to anyone is to miss heaven on the last day. It is even better for one to not be born at all than to come to this world and miss heaven. Dear reader, where will you be at the end of your sojourn here on earth? Remember, God loves you and wants you to be in heaven (see John 3: 16).
Matthew 4:17 says, “From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” If you don’t want to miss heaven, repent of every sin in your life and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour before it is too late.
