   The night that befell me,
   Though thou be long,
   Shall soon come to an end.

   The night that makes me cry always,
   Though thy sting be unbearable,
   Shall soon lose thy grip.

   The night that makes me despair,
   Though thou showest no mercy,
   Shall soon let me be.
4. The darkest period of my life,
   The night that held me bound,
   Though thou refused to let me go,
   Shall soon be no more.
