By Evang. Joachim P. Erameh

Jesus is coming again! Whether anyone believes or not, Jesus Christ will come again. As for me, I have no doubt that the Lord will come again. The Bible teaches that He will come again (see Acts 1:11).

The second coming of Jesus Christ will be in two phases. The first phase is called rapture. This is when, at the sound of the trumpet, Jesus will suddenly appear in the sky to take the righteous with Him to heaven. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 says, “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”

The second phase is when Jesus Christ will come with the saints to reign a thousand years here on earth. Revelation 20:6 says, “Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.”

When the trumpet shall sound, only the righteous will hear and rise immediately to meet the Lord in the air. Those who will still be living in sin at that time will hear nothing, but will be surprised to see that some people have disappeared. Matthew 24:40-41 says, “Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.”

The day of rapture is unknown. The Bible makes it clear that Jesus Christ will come like a thief in the night. 1 Thessalonians 5:2 says, “For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.” Therefore, nobody knows when that day will be.

If you don’t want to miss rapture, be prepared today because tomorrow may be too late. The truth of the matter is that no sinner will make rapture, except they repent before then. This is a warning to every sinner to repent and surrender to Jesus Christ. Anyone who misses rapture may never be able to make heaven. It is better you make rapture at His coming than to face the great tribulation which will follow after it.

Dear reader, where will you be after the rapture? Will you be with Jesus Christ or be left behind? If you are living in sin, repent and surrender to Jesus Christ before it is too late.

Pray the following prayer and believe in your heart that your sins have been forgiven: Dear Lord Jesus, I acknowledge that I am a sinner and that I have fallen short of Your glory. I repent of my sins and turn away from them today. I believe that You died for my sins and rose again on the third day. I invite You into my heart to be my Lord and Savior. Forgive me, cleanse me, and make me a new creation in You. Prepare me for Your soon return and help me to live a life that is pleasing to You. Amen.
