Everything created by God, including man, is for a purpose. The Bible tells us God created us for His own pleasure. Revelation 4:11 says, “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” Clearly, we’re created to serve the Lord and bring glory to His name.
The right time to serve Him is now; tomorrow may be too late. John 4:23 says, “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth…” Dear reader, are you serving God in spirit and in truth?
Romans 6:16 says, “Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are…” If you’re living in sin, you’re not yet serving God. The Lord knows those serving Him (2 Timothy 2:19). Serving God is for our own good. Job 35:6-7 says sinning doesn’t affect God; it’s us who lose.
It’s a must to serve the Lord. Psalm 9:17 says, “The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.” So, choose whom you’ll serve today . “As for me and my home, we shall serve the Lord.”
