Some people believe that Jesus Christ had accomplished His mission on earth and will not come again. The truth is that Jesus Christ will come again. The Bible makes us understand that Jesus Christ will come again (See Acts 1 : 10- 11).
The second coming of Jesus Christ will be in two phases. The first phase is when Jesus Christ will come and take the saints to heaven (See 1 Thessalonians 4: 13- 18). The second phase is called the millennial reign of Christ. The Bible teaches that Jesus Christ will come with the saints to reign on earth for one thousand years (See Revelation 20: 4- 6).
That Jesus Christ will come again, simply means that we all need to be prepared for his coming to avoid missing rapture. If you do not know, the coming of the Lord will be like a thief in the night. 1 Thessalonians 5 : 4 says, “But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.”
When Jesus Christ shall come to take the saints with Him to heaven, will you be ready to go with him? Remember, the Lord is not coming for sinners this time around. He is coming only for those who are earnestly looking forward to His appearance. Hebrews 9 : 28 says, “So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.”
Revelation 16 : 15 says, “Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.” Dear reader, are you ready for the coming of the Lord? If you are living in sin, you are not yet prepared for the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. Repent and surrender your life to Jesus Christ before it is too late.
Pray the following prayer and believe in your heart that your sins have been forgiven: Heavenly Father, I acknowledged that am a sinner. Please, have mercy and forgive all my sins. Write my name in the book of life and give me grace to serve you to the end in Jesus’ name.
If you have prayed the above prayer of repentance, take the following necessary steps:
1. Look for a Bible believing Church close to your residence, to be attending (Hebrews 10: 25).
2. Live a holy life (Hebrews 12: 14).
3. Study the word of God daily (2 Timothy 2: 15).
4. Be prayerful (1 Thessalonians 5: 17).
5. Be heavenly minded (Colossians 3: 2).
