The counsel of Ahithophel refers to the plans of your enemies. In 2 Samuel 17:14, God turned Ahithophel’s counsel against King David to naught. Psalms 33:10 says, “The LORD bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect.” May the Lord God Almighty frustrate the evil plans of your enemies, in Jesus’ name.

Anyone conspiring against you is an Ahithophel. They’re everywhere – family, work, school, village, friends… Don’t worry about them; their conspiracies will fail. The Bible says he who digs a pit will fall into it. So, every enemy plan against you will backfire, in Jesus’ name.

2 Samuel 17:23 shows Ahithophel’s end: rejected, he hanged himself. That’s how enemy plans against you will end. King David prayed for God to turn Ahithophel’s counsel to foolishness (2 Samuel 15:31). Spiritual battles are fought with prayer. If you want God to foil enemy plans, pray! Don’t be silent.

The Bible calls David a man after God’s heart. He loved God, so God helped defeat Ahithophel’s plans (1 Samuel 13:14; Acts 13:22). Do you love God? Jesus says, “If you love Me, keep my commandments” (John 14:15). Are you keeping them? If you’re living in sin, repent and surrender to Jesus Christ before it’s too late.
