“He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.” — Proverbs 29:1
Sin is an abomination to God. Anyone living in sin cannot please God because He is holy (1 Peter 1:15). The Lord does not tolerate sin.
Some people say sin cannot make a believer go to hell, and that once you are saved, you are saved forever. This is a fallacy from the pit of hell. Romans 6:1 says we cannot continue to sin and expect grace to abound.
Sin separates us from God and leads to hell. The only way to deal with the problem of sin and avoid going to hell on the last day is to repent immediately and surrender to Jesus Christ. 1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Despite this promise, many sinners have refused to repent.
Some people commit sin without thinking of its consequences. In our contemporary society, sin is gradually becoming a norm. The devil has blindfolded many people with mundane things to make them not repent of their sins. To crown it all, many who claim to be Christian are still living in sin, contrary to the Scripture.
Sinners need to be reminded that fornicators, liars, murderers, thieves, idol worshippers, adulterers and adulteresses, etc., will not inherit the kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 6:9-10).
Dear reader, do you know that without repentance there is no remission of sin? Do you know that if your sins are not forgiven, there is no way you can go to heaven on the last day? If you are living in sin, are you not tired of this lifestyle?
Proverbs 29:1 says, “He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.” For how long will you continue to wallow in sin? Jesus says, “Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish” (Luke 13:5). Repent therefore and give your life to Jesus before it is too late.
Prayer of Repentance
Pray this prayer aloud and believe in your heart:
“Lord Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner. I believe You died on the cross for my sins and rose again for my justification. Forgive me of all my sins and cleanse me with Your precious blood. I turn away from my sinful life and surrender my life to You today. Come into my heart and be my Lord and Saviour. Thank You for forgiving me and saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
If you have prayed this prayer and believed in your heart, your sins have been forgiven.
