“For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” — Philippians 1:21
Eternity means life without end. Eternity will be spent either in heaven or in hell. Eternity is lost if one dies and goes to hell.
2 Peter 3:9 says, “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise… but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”
Man is a free moral agent. God allows us to decide for ourselves what is good for us. The decision you make today will determine your place in eternity. The decision whether to follow Christ or not is yours to make. No one else can make it for you.
The rich man in Luke 16 went to hell as a result of the decision he made before he died. The benefits of following Christ are inestimable and unquantifiable. Jesus says, “And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.” In Christ Jesus, there is no loss at all. Philippians 1:21 says, “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”
Without doubt, Jesus Christ is the only way to eternal life. He died on Calvary’s cross to save us from our sins. His blood was shed to pay for our sins. He arose from the dead on the third day for our justification and salvation. John 3:16 says, “Whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Dear reader of this tract, where will you spend eternity—heaven or hell? God did not create you for hell. He created you to serve and glorify Him, and to spend eternity with Him in heaven. If you are living in sin, repent today and invite the Lord Jesus Christ into your life before it is too late.
Prayer of Repentance
Pray this prayer aloud and believe in your heart:
“Lord Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner. I believe You died on the cross for my sins and rose again for my justification. Forgive me of all my sins. I turn away from my sinful life and surrender my life to You today. Come into my heart and be my Lord and Saviour. Thank You for saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
If you have prayed this prayer and believed in your heart, your sins have been forgiven.
