As humans, we tend to worry when facing challenges. But God doesn’t want His children to worry! Consider the birds of the air – they don’t worry because they know God takes care of them (Matthew 6:25-26).
There are several reasons why we don’t need to worry:
- 1 Peter 5:7 says God cares for us deeply.
- He cares more for us than the birds, having created us in His image.
- Jeremiah 29:11 says God’s plans for us are good, to give us a hopeful future.
Worry shows we don’t fully trust God. It makes us focus on problems instead of trusting Him. Worry doesn’t help – it hinders God’s promises and shortens life. Luke 12:25 says, “Which of you can add a single hour to your life by worrying?”
Dear reader, choose to trust God and not worry. Instead, make your requests known to Him in prayer. Philippians 4:6 says, “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything.”
The Almighty God is bigger than every problem. Trust Him to help you and stop worrying. May God increase your faith in Him, in Jesus’ name.
