By Evang. Joachim P. Erameh

There is nothing that has a beginning that does not have an end. Some people have predicted when the world will end, but only God knows exactly when the end shall be.

The Bible makes us understand that until the gospel is preached all over the world, the end would not come (See Matthew 24: 14). Today, with the help of technology, the gospel is spreading fast across the world with only few places remaining to hear the good news.

With the speed at which the gospel is spreading, there is no doubt that the end is near. 1 Peter 4: 7 says, “But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.” In the same vein, 1 Thessalonians 5 : 6 says, “Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.”

Beloved, do not allow anyone deceive you that the end is still far. Romans 13 : 11 says, “And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.”

As children of God who are heavenly bound, this is the time to be more serious and committed in serving God. Hebrews 4 : 1 says, “Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.”

Dear reader, what shall be your hope at the end of your sojourn here on earth? Do you have hope of eternal life with Jesus Christ in His kingdom? 1 Corinthians 15 : 19 says, “If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.”

If you are living in sin, repent and surrender your life to Jesus Christ before it is too late.
