I don’t know why the Holy Spirit wanted me to write on this topic, but I know it’s for the benefit of everyone who takes the time to read it. As you read, may the Lord enlighten your understanding of it in Jesus’ name.

In everything in life, preparation is very important. Amos 4:12 admonishes us to prepare to meet our God. Considering the fact that we won’t live on earth forever, and that we must all return to our Maker someday to give an account of our lives, we need to prepare.

God created us to serve Him here on earth. That’s exactly what we need to do to prepare to meet Him. The question is: Are you serving God faithfully? Remember, He owns your life, and you can’t live it any way you want. 1 Corinthians 6:20 says, “For you were bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.”

Although God doesn’t dictate to anyone how to live their life, we must fulfill the purpose for which He created us. God wants to see us obeying Him and doing His will. That’s the only way to meet Him in peace on the last day.

Dear reader, prepare to meet your God before the day of reckoning comes. Revelation 20:12 says, “And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the Book of Life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.”
If you’re living in sin, repent, give your life to Jesus Christ, and serve God for the rest of your life.
