Jesus Christ is going to come again. But we do not know when He shall come. The Bible warns that He will come like a thief in the night (1 Thessalonians 5: 2). The question is: Will you be ready when the Lord shall come?
What is the Lord Jesus Christ coming to do when He has finished His assignment on earth? He is coming to take the saints with Him to heaven. This is what is called rapture. 1 Thessalonians 4 : 16- 17 says, “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”
Jesus Christ is coming for those who are ready and daily look forward to His return. The Bible says, “So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation” (Hebrews 9 : 28).
The coming of the Lord Jesus Christ will happen suddenly; and many people will be caught unprepared.1 Corinthians 15 : 51-52 says, “Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”
Dear reader, do not be deceived: sinners including unbelievers, hypocrites and compromising Christians will not make rapture, except they repent before it happens. If you are living in sin or die in your sins, you would not be raptured. The Bible says he that hath ears to hear, let him hear now.
The consequence of missing rapture is that one might end up missing heaven. If you miss rapture , you can hardly make heaven at the end. In case you are living in sin, repent now and surrender your life to the Lord Jesus Christ before it is too late.
Pray the following prayer and believe in your heart that your sins have been forgiven: Lord Jesus, I am greatly sorry for my sins. Please, have mercy and forgive me all my sins. Write my name in the book of life and make me worthy to go with you at your coming (Amen).
If you have prayed the above prayer of repentance, take the following necessary steps:
1. Look for a Bible believing Church close to your residence, to be attending (Hebrews 10: 25).
2. Live a holy life (Hebrews 12: 14).
3. Study the word of God daily (2 Timothy 2: 15).
4. Be prayerful (1 Thessalonians 5: 17).
5. Be heavenly minded (Colossians 3: 2).
