King Solomon, the wisest king ever, makes it clear the world and everything in it is vanity. He was the richest man on earth, had gold, silver, wives, honor, fame… but before dying, he called it all “vanities” (Ecclesiastes 12:8). The world’s stuff is vanity. You can’t take it with you. We come empty-handed, leave empty-handed.

Education, wealth, power, titles, fame – they’re good but vanities because they have no eternal value. Pursue them with levity and humility. God won’t judge you by what you had (Luke 12:15). So why chase wind? When you die, certificates are useless, money and stuff go to others.

Ecclesiastes 2:19 says, “Who knows if the one getting your stuff will be wise or a fool?” Pray they’re wise. Scripture advises: seek heavenly things (Colossians 3:1-2). Set your heart on things above, not earthly stuff.

Dear reader, don’t trade your soul for worldly things. Mark 8:36 says, “What’s the point of gaining the world and losing your soul?” If you have everything but not Jesus, you have nothing. Living in sin? Repent and surrender to Jesus before it’s too late.
