It is the dream of everyone to go to heaven. But for those who do not believe that there is a heaven, it is crazy for anyone to want to go to a non-existent place. There is a place called heaven. Heaven is a very beautiful place to behold. God showed me a glimpse of heaven some years back, which helped to confirm my belief in its existence.
One fateful day, I was so tired and decided to take some rest. The moment I lay down to rest, I had a dream. In the dream, I saw a very beautiful city with gigantic mansions. The mansions were made of gold. The streets of the city were paved with gold. Even the gutters and flowers were made of gold. The whole city shone brighter and brighter.
Heaven is a place of everlasting joy. In heaven, there is no sorrow, pain, or death. Revelation 21:4 says, ” And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”
Anyone who makes heaven will be happy forever. In the dream that I just narrated above, I was very happy to have found myself in such a magnificent city. I thought I had made it already, only to wake up and discover it was a dream.
Dear reader, I want you to know that heaven is real. To say there is no heaven is to say there is no God. The question should not be whether there is heaven or not, but rather how can we get there? Psalm 15:1-2 says, “LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill? He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.”
Jesus says, “Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 7:21). The will of the Father is that we desist from sinning and serve Him in truth and in spirit.
The Bible makes it clear that except we are born again, we cannot see the kingdom of heaven, let alone enter it. John 3:3 says, “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Unless you give your life to Jesus, and repent of every sin in your life, you will not enter the kingdom of God.
The consequence of missing heaven is grievous. Matthew 25:46 says, “And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.” If you are living in sin, repent and give your life to Jesus Christ before it is too late.
