Heaven is a very beautiful place to behold. It is a place that one cannot afford to miss. The description of heaven in Revelation 21: 18 – 23 reminds me of the dream I had some years back.
One fateful day, I was very tired and decided to lie down to rest. As soon as my back touched the mat on the floor, I fell asleep and had a dream. In my dream, I saw a magnificent city with gigantic mansions. The buildings of the city were made of gold. The streets of the city were tarred with gold. The gutters and flowers were made of gold as well. The whole city was shining brighter and brighter as if it were day time.
The place I saw in my dream, no doubt, was heaven. God decided to show me a glimpse of heaven to let me know it is real. Meanwhile, as I was rejoicing that I made it to heaven, I suddenly woke up from sleep, and realized that it was a dream. I wondered why God did not allow me to die in my sleep so that I would remain in heaven.
Heaven is not for every Dick and Harry. 1 Corinthians 6 : 9-10 says, “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.” See also Matthew 7: 21, 22: 14; Galatians 5: 19- 21; Revelation 21: 8, 27).
Dear reader of this tract, where will you spend eternity? Heaven or hell? The desire of God is that you spend eternity in heaven. Luke 13 : 24 says, “Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.” If you are lliving in sin, repent and surrender your life to the Lord Jesus Christ before it is too late.
Pray the following prayer and believe in your heart that your sins have been forgiven:
Heavenly Father, I acknowledge that am a sinner. Please, have mercy on me, and forgive all my sins. Wash me in the blood of the Lamb and write my name in the book of life in Jesus’ name.
If you have prayed the above prayer of repentance, take the following necessary steps:
1. Look for a Bible believing Church close to your residence, to be attending (Hebrews 10: 25).
2. Live a holy life (Hebrews 12: 14).
3. Study the word of God daily (2 Timothy 2: 15).
4. Be prayerful (1 Thessalonians 5: 17).
5. Be heavenly minded (Colossians 3: 2).
