By Evang. Joachim P. Erameh
Some people boast about their father’s wealth or position. Others boast about family or connections. But if anyone should boast, it’s the children of God – we know the Almighty!
Jeremiah 9:24 says, “Let him who glories, glory in knowing Me.” If you’re a child of God, rejoice! The Father knows you, and you know Him. It’s wrong to be gloomy when you have the Almighty as your Father!
A king’s son isn’t sad because he knows his father’s there for him. So if you’re a child of God, you’ve no reason to feel dejected. 1 Corinthians 1:31 says, “Let him who glories, glory in the Lord.”
Stop boasting about:
- Your father or connections – they’ll fail you (Psalms 118:8, 146:3)
- Money – it has wings (1 Timothy 6:17)
- Achievements – it’s God’s grace
If you must boast, boast in the Lord. Do you know Him personally? If you want God as your Father, repent and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Personal Saviour.
