Eternity simply means life without end. The next life after death will be lived in eternity. Eternity could either be spent in heaven or hell. Matthew 25: 46 says, “And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.”
To start with, no human being will live forever. Hebrews 9: 27 makes us understand that after death comes judgment. If you do not know, eternity will begin immediately after judgement. The question is: Where will you spend eternity? Heaven or hell? The will of God is that you spend eternity in heaven. However, the way you lived your life before you depart this world will determine your place in eternity.
To spend eternity in hell is the worst thing that can happen to anyone. Hell is a place of everlasting punishment and regret (See Luke 16: 19- 31). According to Mark 9 : 44, it is a place “where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.” Hell was originally prepared for the devil and his angels. But any sinner who did not repent before judgment will end up with the devil and his angels in the lake of fire that burns forever.
2 Peter 2 : 4- 6 tells us that for an example to those who are living in sin, God did not spare the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment.
Dear reader of this tract, do not make the mistake of going to hell. If you do not want to spend eternity in hell, repent of every known sin in your life and give your life to Jesus Christ before it is too late.
Pray the following prayer and believe in your heart that God has forgiven you: Heavenly Father, I acknowledge that am a sinner. Please, have mercy and forgive all my sins. I accept your Son Jesus Christ as my Lord and Personal Saviour. Remove my name from the book of death and write it in the book of life in Jesus’ name (Amen).
If you prayed the above prayer of repentance, take the following necessary steps:
1. Look for a Bible believing Church close to your residence, to be attending (Hebrews 10: 25).
2. Live a holy life (Hebrews 12: 14).
3. Study the word of God daily (2 Timothy 2: 15).
4. Be prayerful (1 Thessalonians 5: 17).
5. Be heavenly minded (Colossians 3: 2).
