Little Foxes that Spoil the Vine

“Catch for us the foxes, the little foxes that ruin the vineyards” – Song of Solomon 2:15

In life, there are little things we say don’t matter, but they matter before God.

When I was growing up as a young man and a baby Christian, I used to be a very humorous person. A lot of people used to come around me because they knew I would make them laugh and laugh, and forget their sorrows. To me, I was having fun, and I thought I was becoming popular among my friends and neighbours.

Then, one day, I heard a dream. In that dream, I was told bluntly that “a child of God doesn’t make jest.” Immediately, I stopped making people laugh.

The mistake some people make is that they look at the big foxes and downplay the little foxes. The big and little foxes are equally dangerous. Sin is sin, no matter how small it may seem to be, and they carry the same consequences. The Bible warns that even little foxes can spoil the vine (Song of Solomon 2:15).

Little foxes don’t look dangerous. But they can hinder your growth and salvation. A little compromise here and there, little lies, little unforgiveness, a little gossip, a little masturbation, a little fornication, one angry word, one “it doesn’t matter” decision, etc., can hinder you from going to heaven on the last day.

The devil is very deceptive. He will tell you that the sin you are about to commit is little, and that it doesn’t matter before God. From “it doesn’t matter,” some people have gradually become deeply involved in sin, while some have even died in their sins.

Dear reader of this tract, is there any big or small sin in your life that you are still grappling with? Repent of it immediately and surrender to Jesus Christ- the vine Keeper before it is too late.

PRAYER OF REPENTANCE & SALVATION

Pray this prayer aloud and believe in your heart that your sins have been forgiven:

“Lord Jesus Christ, I come before You today. I confess that I am a sinner and I repent of all my sins, both big and small. I believe You died for me on the cross and rose again. Forgive me, cleanse me with Your blood, and wash away every ‘little fox’ in my life. I surrender my life to You. Be my Lord and personal Saviour. From today, I will live for You alone. Amen.”

If you have prayed this prayer and believed in your heart, your sins have been forgiven.
