By Evang. Joachim P. Erameh
Limitation is anything that hinders people from moving forward in life. God desires for His children to make progress in life. Deuteronomy 1:6-7 says, “The LORD our God spoke to us in Horeb, saying, ‘You have dwelt long enough in this mountain. Turn and take your journey, and go to the hill country of the Amorites, and to all the places nearby: in the Arabah, in the hill country, in the lowland, in the Negeb, and by the seacoast, the land of the Canaanites, and Lebanon, as far as the great river, the river Euphrates.'”
What this means is that if you have not been making progress, God is saying it’s time for you to move forward. God is not pleased when you are stagnant and not making progress. Dear reader, as a child of God, you are not meant to be stagnant. If you haven’t been making progress, you will start making progress from today by the grace of God. If God didn’t allow anything to stop the children of Israel from entering the Promised Land, He will not allow anything to hinder you from moving forward.
This article wouldn’t be complete without telling you what to do to move forward in life. Do the following if you’d like to make progress:
- Be diligent and don’t be lazy.
- Don’t procrastinate—do what you can today; don’t put it off to another day.
- Maintain a positive mindset—believe you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you (Philippians 4:13).
- Trust God for the grace to move forward.
- Be prayerful.
- Be a born-again child of God.
