Salvation is a free gift from God. Romans 6: 23 says, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” We are saved by grace and not by works. Ephesian 2: 8- 9 says, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

We are not saved because we are good or righteous  (See Romans 3: 10- 12; Isaiah 64: 6; Psalms 130: 3- 4). But we are saved by faith in the atoning blood of Jesus Christ (See Romans 3: 25; Ephesians 2: 8). Our salvation was made possible by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary. Hebrews 9: 28 says, “So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.” 1 Peter 3: 18 says, “For Christ also hath once suffered for our sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit.”

Jesus Christ died on the cross to save us from our sins. He paid the price for our sins with his blood. There is no doubt that Jesus is both Lord and Saviour. The only way to eternal life is through Jesus Christ who loves us and died on the cross for our salvation (See John 1: 12, 3: 16- 18, 6: 40, 11: 26; Acts 4: 12).

To be saved, you must believe in Jesus Christ and confess Him as your Lord and Personal Saviour. John 3: 18 says, “He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already; because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” Romans 10: 10 says, “For with the heart, man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

Dear reader of this tract, do you believe in Jesus Christ? Have you accepted Him as your Lord and Personal Saviour? Jesus says, ” Behold, I stand at the door, and knock; if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me” (Revelation 3: 20). Jesus is knocking on your door. If you are living in sin, repent and invite the Lord Jesus Christ into your life before it is too late.

Pray the following prayer and believe in your heart that your sins have been forgiven: Lord Jesus, I am deeply sorry for my sins. Please, have mercy and forgive all my sins. I accept you today as my Lord and Personal Saviour. Save me and write my name in the book of life. Amen.

If you have prayed the above prayer of repentance, take the following necessary steps:
1. Look for a Bible believing Church close to your residence, to be attending (Hebrews 10: 25).
2. Live a holy life (Hebrews 12: 14).
3. Study the word of God daily (2 Timothy 2: 15).
4. Be prayerful (1 Thessalonians 5: 17).
5. Be heavenly minded (Colossians 3: 2).
