The main reason why Jesus came from heaven to earth was to seek and save the lost. Luke 19: 10 says, “For the Son of man is come to seek and save that which was lost.”
Genesis 1: 26 makes us understand that God created man in His own image and likeness. He created them male and female and placed them in the garden of Eden where He constantly had fellowship with them (See Genesis 1: 27). God loved the man He created so much and gave him dominion over all things. But man sinned against God and fell short of His glory (See Genesis 3: 1- 19; Romans 3: 23).
Despite the fall of man, God still loves him and decided to send His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to come and seek and save him. John 3: 16 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
One vital lesson that we need to learn from the fall of man is that God hates sin. Sin is an abomination to God. God is holy and cannot tolerate sin (Habakkuk 1: 13)). Sin separates man from God, and leads to eternal damnation in the lake of fire that burns forever.
Jesus Christ suffered and died on the cross to save us from our sins, and reconcile us to God. We have redemption in the shed blood of Jesus on the cross of Calvary. In Christ, there is salvation for everyone who desires eternal life and pursues after righteousness. Revelation 22: 17 says, “And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.”
Dear reader of this tract, have you been saved by Jesus? Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Personal Saviour? Did you know that despite the fact that Jesus Christ died for us, so many people would still perish on the last day? In case you are living in sin, repent and surrender your life to the Lord Jesus Christ before it is too late.
Pray the following prayer and believe in your heart that your sins have been forgiven: Heavenly Father, I am sorry for all my sins. Please, have mercy and forgive all my sins. Wash me in the blood of the Lamb and write my name in the book of life in Jesus’ name. Amen.
If you have prayed the above prayer of repentance, take the following necessary steps:
1. Look for a Bible believing Church close to your residence, to be attending (Hebrews 10: 25).
2. Live a holy life (Hebrews 12: 14).
3. Study the word of God daily (2 Timothy 2: 15).
4. Be prayerful (1 Thessalonians 5: 17).
5. Be heavenly minded (Colossians 3: 2).
